The Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) is one of the most highly recognized and respected vendor-specific security certifications available with over 24,000 CCSA certified professionals worldwide. CCSA certification validates a security administrator's ability to maintain day-to-day operation of Check Point security solutions and ensure secure access to information across the network. Technical persons like System Administrators, Support Analysts, Security Managers and Network Engineers who support, install, deploy or administer Check Point Software Blades are eligible to attend this course.

CCSA certification provides knowledge and skill on how to secure communications across the internet, defend against network threats, configure security policies, protect email and messaging content and manage user access to corporate LANs. All CCSA certified professionals possess skills to configure VPN -1 as an Internet security solution and virtual private network (VPN) that securely connects corporate offices and remote workers, protecting information exchange and granting access to network resources.

All CCSA certified professionals gain knowledge on how to perform seamless product upgrades, back-up and restore networks, monitor suspicious network activities and analyze attacks, troubleshoot network connections, implement Identity awareness for more granular access levels and configure permanent tunnels for remote access to corporate resources.

  • Working knowledge in Windows/Unix/Linux systems or equivalent knowledge and skills is a prerequisite.
  • Good knowledge in TCP/IP, routing fundamentals, Check Point Technology Overview, deployment platforms and security policies, monitoring traffic and connections, user management and authentication, implementing identity awareness in the Firewall, configuring VPN tunnels and resolving security administration issues is required.

CCSA R75 exam number 156-215.75 is based on 80% course materials and 20% hands-on experience with Check Point products. It contains 90 multiple-choice, scenario-based questions which should be answered in 120 minutes. Students should score a minimum of 70% or higher to qualify in the examination. It is recommended that the students have at least 6 months experience with Check Point products before challenging it.


CCSA certifications are valid for 2 years. The validity can be renewed by taking the current CCSA or CCSE exam or with training blades which are short, modular courses that teach the latest security advancements.
