The JNCIS certification acts as a prerequisite to attempt the JNCIP-level exam.


Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIS-ENT)

The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIS-ENT) certification validates the candidate's knowledge and skills in routing and switching technologies and related platform configuration and troubleshooting. This course is exclusively intended for experienced professionals with beginner to intermediate knowledge of routing and switching implementations in Junos and competence with Juniper network technology.

Juniper Junos Intermediate Routing (JIR) course enables students to configure and monitor the Junos OS and monitor device operation. It provides an overview of protocol-independent routing features, load balancing and filter-based forwarding, OSPF, BGP, IP tunneling, and high availability (HA) features. The curriculum includes course introduction, Protocol-Independent Routing, Load Balancing and Filter-Based Forwarding, Open Shortest Path First, Border Gateway Protocol, IP Tunneling and High Availability.


Juniper Junos Enterprise Switching (JEX)

Juniper Junos Enterprise Switching (JEX) provides students with introductory switching knowledge and configuration examples. The curriculum includes course introduction, Layer 2 Switching, Virtual Networks, Spanning Tree, Port Security, Device Security and Firewall Filters and High Availability.


Examination

The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIS-ENT) exam code JN0-343 is a written exam conducted at prometric testing centers worldwide. The question paper contains 80 multiple choice questions and the duration of the exam is 105 minutes. The candidate should score 60% to pass the examination.


Recertification

The JNCIS-ENT certification is valid for two years. The validity can be renewed by passing the current JN0-343 exam.
