The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist security (JNCIS-SEC) certification validates the candidate’s knowledge and skills in security technologies and related platform configuration and troubleshooting. This course is exclusively designed for experienced networking professionals with intermediate knowledge of the Juniper Networks Junos software for SRX Series devices and covers configuration, operation, and implementation of SRX Series Services Gateways in a typical network environment.

JNCIS-SEC certification course mainly emphasizes on security technologies such as security zones, security policies, intrusion detection and prevention (IDP), Network Address Translation (NAT), and high availability clusters, as well as details pertaining to basic implementation, configuration, and management. This certification course is best suited for operators of SRX Series devices like network engineers, administrators, support personnel and reseller support personnel are eligible to attend.

  • Students should attend the Introduction to the Junos Operating System (IJOS) course and the Junos Routing Essentials (JRE) course, or have equivalent experience

JNCIS-SEC exam code JN0-332 is a written exam conducted at Pearson VUE and Prometric testing centers worldwide. The question paper contains 75 multiple choice questions and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. The candidate should score 80% to pass the examination.


JNCIS-SEC certification is valid for two years. The validity can be renewed by passing the current JN0-332 exam.
